About Them

This fully remote tech-loving crew have been creating simple solutions to complex problems for more than 10 years, for more than 10,000 businesses with their apps. Their HQ is in the UK, but they're a truly global community with some of their ~20 strong team across Europe! They've continued to do well over the last year and look forward to launching a brand new app this year and growing their team with 2 more developers to start off!

About The Role - Fullstack Developer - UI Focus

As a fullstack developer, you'll be working across multiple products and projects with your general focus to improve and extend one of their core apps in the ecommerce space, as well as working on a relatively new greenfield project for a new product due to launch this year.

Although you'll be working across the entire stack predominantly with technologies like React, Typescript, Node, AWS and the Shopify ecosystem, you'll be someone who is strong on the UI side and happy to lean on this in their work. You'll be building out javascript frameworks/libraries developing and improving new and existing functional components, so you'll be someone with an appreciate for design rather than core 'engineering'.

You'll be joining a team receptive to new ideas, better ways of working and more, so you'll be someone who's dynamic and happy with working in dependently. They're happy if you'd like to do some travelling/work from Europe etc now and again, as long as you're a UK citizen with a UK bank account where their HQ is.

You'll be joining 7 other developers as well as 3 product managers, a project manager and others across the tech team all working remotely in a truly flexible environment. Sprint planning takes place every 2 weeks and you're given full autonomy to code away in your own time; you won't be held to a specific number of hours, start and finish times etc, as long as you complete your work that you're responsible for, they're happy. You'll have full autonomy to work in a way that's best for you, but that doesn't mean you have to work alone; they love collaboration with people regularly pair programming or working in groups to support eachother.

Key Requirements

• 5+ yrs experience as a fullstack developer with React, Node & Typescript
• Strong UI experience - building out or maintaining UI libraries/frameworks etc
• Functional & OOP won't be strangers to you
• Mentoring / or leading other developers would be a bonus but not essential
